Search Programs
The ASU Global Education Office administers programs in over 65 countries, totaling more than 250 different programs! ASU offers five distinct types of Global Education programs: Faculty-Directed, Global Intensive Experience, Partnership, Exchange and Internships. You can participate in a Global Education program during the summer, spring break, fall semester, spring semester or for a full year.

Faculty-Directed Programs
- Led by ASU faculty member
- Take class with ASU students
- Specific subject or academic discipline
- Receive predetermined ASU course credit (internship credit may be available)
- Program fee covers tuition, housing, and possibly other items such as meals, excursions and transportation
- Programs offered internationally and domestically here in the U.S. and U.S. territories
- 2-8 weeks during summer

Partnership Programs
- ASU partner organization with on-site staff available to assist students
- Take classes with local, international and/or American students
- Often taught in English - foreign language experience may not be required
- Earn equivalencies for ASU credit (internship credit may be available)
- Visa guidance or services offered
- Program fee usually covers tuition, housing, some excursions and support from onsite staff
- Summer/Semester/Academic Year/Calendar Year

Global Intensive Experiences
- Led by ASU faculty members
- Take class with ASU students
- Specific subject or academic discipline
- Receive predetermined ASU course credit
- Program fee covers housing, and possibly other items such as meals, excursions and transportation
- Programs offered internationally and domestically here in the U.S. and U.S. territories
- 7-12 days during Spring Break and the breaks before/after Fall and Spring semesters

Exchange Programs
- Take classes at a local university, but pay usual ASU fees and tuition
- Reciprocal exchange between ASU and a foreign university
- Take classes with foreign university faculty and local students
- Foreign language proficiency may be required
- Most independent study abroad option. Student arranges own flight, housing, visa, etc. (some information may be available)
