Global Flex gives you the flexibility to create your own study abroad experience. Pick the duration, location and credit that works best for you.
Take your ASU classes online to stay on track with your degree requirements, and combine them with in-person classes or an internship. Choose where you want to study abroad, and combine locations for a unique-to-you study abroad that lets you spend 6, 12 or 18 weeks in up to three cities around the world. It’s your world. It’s your choice.
How does it work?

Decide how long you want to go abroad for either 6, 12 or 18 weeks.

Choose your location
Pick from locations on six continents, in cities like Barcelona, Florence, Tokyo, Cape Town, Sydney, Buenos Aires, London and more!
No need to just pick one place. Change locations every six weeks to experience multiple locations during your time abroad. Or stay in one place and grow your familiarity with one location.

Choose your credit
Stay on track for your degree while studying abroad. You choose the number of credits you prefer to take online, in-person or as an internship.
Stay on track while taking classes online
Take your required ASU courses online and stay on track for your degree while studying abroad. Mix and match your courses with in-person coursework, or take all your ASU courses online while abroad.
Use the ASU course search to find the ASU courses that fit with your degree. Immersion students will take iCourses. ASU Online students will take ASU Online courses. Fill the rest of your schedule with three or six credits of in-person courses or an internship as you desire.

Choose up to three locations
With Global Flex, you get the flexibility to choose where you want to go. Pick from over 30 cities across six continents. Choose to stick in one location for more immersion into one culture, or move to a new location every six week block.
Complete an internship
Add international work experience to your resume during your study abroad with an internship in a local organization. Internship placements are based on your personal and professional goals, matching you with a host organization that best fits.

Connect with fellow students
Participate in included cultural activities and excursions to connect with fellow American students and other Sun Devils participating on the program.You’ll get to know the local culture even more, and make lasting connections with other students. Upon arrival in each location, you’ll have an orientation to get you acquainted with your new city and meet even more students.
