Why Madison works in global education: I think every person should travel abroad at least once in their lifetime and student should travel as much as they can while abroad. Learning different cultures, customs, foods, and even people is interictal to the development of a person. I truly believe that international education should be accessible to any and every person that wants to open their world to new experiences.
Advice for students preparing to go abroad: Embrace being uncomfortable! It is the best way to learn. When traveling abroad, your plans will change and things will happen that are outside of your control- you will make mistakes and that's okay. Learn from them and do your best to soak up every moment.
One of the most important lessons Madison learned while studying abroad or traveling: Not everything has to go to plan and, sometimes, it's better that way.
