Why Megan works in global education: Going abroad has had such positive impact on my life. It opened my eyes to other cultures and other ways of thinking. It challenged me and forced me out of my comfort zone. Traveling abroad ultimately made me a more understanding and more confident person. I hope to help others grow through Global Education and help them create lasting, meaningful memories.
Advice for students preparing to go abroad: Be bold. You're about to embark on an adventure! Try new foods, explore new art forms, and make new friends. Going abroad is a great opportunity to learn more about yourself while you are also learning about others.
One of the most important lessons Megan learned while traveling: The world can feel really big and inaccessible at times. If you put yourself out there and meet others it starts to feel a little bit smaller. You can have an impact on someone else's life on another continent, and likely other people will have an impact on your life.
