Local to Global Scholarship

To increase the number of Arizona residents going abroad, the ASU Global Education Office is pleased to offer a limited number of financial need based Local to Global Scholarships of $4,000 to ASU students participating in ASU Global Flex programs (2 block minimum duration during the summer or semester) or ASU Summer Global Internship programs (see Eligible Programs tab for a full list of programs eligible for this scholarship).   Students must be applying for an eligible Summer, Fall, or Spring program.

Local to Global scholarship recipients will be required to commit to and complete a student profile following completion of their program and share photos that may be shared with award donors and on social media.  More information will be given to recipients at a later date.

To be eligible for a Local to Global Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be an Arizona resident- in other words, a student who pays in-state tuition
• Have an active application to an award eligible program by the scholarship deadline (see Eligible Programs tab for more information)
• Have a minimum cumulative ASU GPA of 2.5 at the time of application
• Have a current FAFSA on file with ASU Financial Aid and Scholarship Services at the time of application, and be eligible to receive ASU financial aid
• Be a degree-seeking ASU student (undergraduate) at the time of application
• Have at least sophomore standing according to credits
• Be in good standing with the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities
• Commit to and complete a student profile including sharing of photos from your experience abroad upon completion of your program.

Local to Global Scholarship recipients may only receive the GEO Go Global Grant in addition to the Local to Global Scholarship during their term of participation.  Students may only receive the Local to Global Scholarship once.
