  • Studied abroad in Oviedo, Spain
  • Received Master's Degree in Madrid, Spain
  • Traveled extensively throughout the United States & Europe
  • Taught English abroad in Madrid, Spain through the Spanish Ministry of Education program

Why Allie works in global education: I truly believe that global education experiences empower students with some of the most important skills for their futures. Playing even a small role in helping them overcome obstacles and confidently navigate the barriers and complexities of international programs is deeply rewarding and continues to motivate my work.

Advice for students preparing to go abroad: Stay humble and open‑minded, and accept that experiences rarely match your initial expectations. Embrace the unfamiliar and the uncomfortable moments, because that’s where the most meaningful growth happens!

One of the most important lessons Allie learned while studying abroad or traveling: Studying abroad taught me how to be comfortable with ambiguity. Stepping into unfamiliar situations and choosing to say yes, even amongst discomfort and when I wasn’t sure what to expect, helped me grow more confident and adaptable.
