A coastal view of Athens, Greece

Global Network: Greece

Overview

Spend 15 weeks in the city where Socrates once walked and taught western philosophy. Athens is the capital of Greece and one of the world’s oldest cities, known as the birthplace of democracy and Western philosophy. Blending ancient landmarks like the Acropolis and Parthenon with lively neighborhoods, cafés, and modern culture, Athens is a city where history and contemporary life exist side by side.

Athens is a cosmopolitan city that blends ancient and modern Greek culture. Experience Athens by watching the iconic Changing of the Guard at Syntagma Square, and exploring the city’s ancient heart, from the lively Agora and Hadrian’s Library to the Olympian, Kerameikos, and Aristotle’s Lyceum.
