Overview
Immerse yourself in the “Cultural Capital” of Japan – Kyoto! As one of Japan’s most traditional cities, this is a great place to experience a unique combination of language, people, and emerging technology. Choose from courses that fit your academic needs and outside of the classroom, immerse yourself in Japanese culture by visiting the city’s numerous Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, palaces, and gardens.
Soak in Kyoto’s depth with its rich cultural, religious, and artistic traditions dating back more than 1,200 years. Be entranced by the zen rock garden of Ryoanji Temple, take in the contrast between the dazzling Golden Temple and more serene Silver Temple, and stroll the Philosopher’s Walk.
